Introduction

Many people with a disability still have no, or strongly reduced, entrance to the open labour market. It doesn’t seem to be the unwillingness of organisations, but rather their ignorance of the possibilities and the incapability of the people to present themselves in a proper way. One of the most important reasons why people with a disability fail to find a suitable job, is that they don’t know how to present themselves to be eligible for the jobs (that even sometimes are especially created for this target group).

There is a strong need for a comprehensive E-Portfolio for people with disabilities to present themselves at the labour market in a better way.

Aim

The E-Portfolio with the ‘recruiters’ Platform will help people with a distance to the labour market to take active part in society.

Methodology

There is a strong need for a comprehensive E-Portfolio for people with disabilities to present themselves at the labour market in a better way. It comes with an intelligent Learning Management System (LMS), that will able them to alter their E-Portfolio at all time, everywhere and in the way they want it.

Results

  • E-Portfolio framework
  • a tool (manual) based on the framework
  • a training module for the use of the E-portfolio for professionals working in the area of supporting people with disabilities
  • a Learning Management System (LMS)for jobseekers to keep learning and improving themselves
  • a platform for jobseekers and employers (web-based and accessible with an app)

Inclusive Teams

  • 5 to 10 trainees from each organisation are involved in the process of the framework development
  • one training programme for trainees (country of venue: Bulgaria)
  • development of professional E-Portfolios trainees of every organisation (personal video included)

Opportunities

Besides having a positive impact on our company by meeting and getting to know other organizations from all around Europe, the project offers many opportunities. The project definitely will improve our approach on leisure activities done by our trainees. With the new knowledge we can help them improve their personal life through the means of meaningful leisure activities.
