Introduction

The TFIT-Project aims to enable young people in vocational education to have international experiences with and without travel. Within the project, the consortium is developing an inclusive course structure that prepares all vocational students for the international experience before actual mobility or travel in general. In this way, internationalization reaches educational institutions in the vocational sector. The project promotes cultural knowledge, awareness of European values and identity. The learners’ voice will be central throughout the project. Young people with and without learning disabilities actively collaborate in the project with peers from all participating countries. This collaboration happens both from educational institution to educational institution and face-to-face within the LTTAs.

Aim

The project is aiming to enhance students’ competences related to European citizenship, cultural awareness, transversal soft and digital skills.

Methodology

The project consortium develops a coherent readymade course structure with interactive learning material that can be used with all students. There is no difference between students’ groups affected by the eight defined barriers and obstacles of the European Union or not.

Results

  • How to survive: A Mobility Game
  • Mobility ability study module: a structured readymade course
  • Students’ mobility ability handbooks: gathering the project results into visual form
  • Mobility ability journal: a digital & interactive journal for self-expression and self actualization to strengthen mobility experience and enhance social and emotional development

Inclusive Teams

  • 4 Learning-Teaching-Training Activities (LTTA) with 3 participants per country (venue: Finland, Spain, Italy, Austria)
  • teachers’ network with one teacher per country to share and improve their digital competences
  • 3 Multiplier Events in Spain, Finland and Italy with 30 to 55 participants per country

Opportunities

In 2021, atempo had the privilege to accompany the OeAD in the creation of the National Plan for Inclusion and Diversity within the framework of Erasmus+, as the project objectives are linked with the strategic aims of the actual ERASMUS+ programme , which places a strong focus on social inclusion and digital transitions.
